Located in Grand County, Colorado, Horseshoe Lake is 640 acres of private lake. Horseshoe Lake is fairly secluded as it is surrounded by miles of a beautiful national park. If you go 2 hours from the lake you will hit Denver which is full of tons to do and see.

The vast area that makes up Horseshoe Lake creates a perfect place for boating, swimming, jet skiing, and many other water activities. Horseshoe Lake follows the state-wide Colorado lake regulations. Some of these regulations are the no wake zones for boats within 100 feet of shorelines and all wake surfers shall stay 200 feet from shorelines. Fishing is very popular amongst Colorado Lakes including Horseshoe Lake. Popular fish include Walleye, Bass, Catfish, Crappie, Bluegill, and Perch. All anglers on Horseshoe Lake are required to obtain a fishing license. Fishing regulations are regulated by Boyd Lake Park Rangers.

Great food is a key aspect of lake life whether you are the type to catch your dinner or go pick it up. A popular eatery near Horseshoe Lake is 45 minutes down the road. Lucky Bird is a fan favorite for the residents of Horseshoe Lake with its famous hand-crafted chicken. People flood this restaurant every week with the expectation that the food will be hot and ready to eat as soon as they sit down.
